Here at Joanne Penner Dance Coaching we specialise in 1-1 teaching, our passion is providing an individualised approach tailored to each students specific needs.

By working with our dancers in this considered manner we can deliver teaching that nurtures talent and prioritises safe development and progress. Whilst taking group classes is an essential part of any students training, a 1-1 approach allows for a high attention to detail that results in greater technical improvements and is an invaluable tool for those wishing to take their training that step further.

Private tuition can also provide a great stepping tool before progressing into vocational training - a process we have invaluable experience and expert knowledge of. Those training with us privately can do so on a pre-vocational pathway, with the aim of gaining a place in full time dance training to pursue a professional career.

JPDC offer private sessions in all elements of classical ballet, contemporary and body conditioning dancers. Lessons can be delivered in person or online worldwide, regularly or on a more ad-hoc basis. For in person sessions we are based in West Sussex, primarily in Hassocks and Hurstpierpoint.

“Miss Joanne has been working with my daughter, in both ballet and contemporary. The most beautiful moment was watching them dance side by side, while Miss Joanne modelled the choreography so beautifully, so that my daughter could perfect the steps.”
